Dr Chow is an Ophthalmologist and Cataract Surgeon with a subspecialty interest in Macular & Retinal conditions. Completing her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Melbourne and ophthalmology training at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, she undertook further subspecialty training in Cambridge and Oxford in the United Kingdom.
Dr Chow is an experienced Cataract Surgeon who operates using modern phacoemulsification and laser-assisted cataract surgery techniques. She aims to correct astigmatism with intraocular lenses to optimise visual outcomes.
She has expertise in management of eye conditions affecting the retina, including macular degeneration, diabetes, vein occlusions and inherited retinal diseases. She is skilled in administering intravitreal injections and laser photocoagulation. Her subspecialty knowledge allows her to treat patients who have both cataracts and retinal conditions comprehensively.
Dr Chow is currently a member of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Retinal Specialists. She has public hospital appointments as a consultant ophthalmologist at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and the Austin Hospital.
