Adora Day Surgeries are committed to complying with the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHS) through participation in accreditation that reflects the organisations’ commitment to quality management systems that support the clinical governance, partnering with consumers and processes which deliver consistently expected patient outcomes.

A feature of the accreditation process is regular inspection and in July 2023 the Australian Commission transferred the focus from preparation for assessment to review of day-to-day practice through the implementation of short notice assessments which only require 24 hours’ notice for an assessment. A short notice assessment against the NSQHS may occur at any time during a three-year accreditation cycle. It will involve an on-site assessment of all applicable actions from the eight standards centred on continuous compliance and an opportunity for improvement where gaps are identified.
